Celebrating Mom with Epiphany Crafts

Tuesday, April 30, 2013

Hello crafty friends!

I've got a lovely Mother's Day gift idea today!

Mothers are very special people. Why not make your mom a homemade card and mini gift box to brighten her day?

First up is a card. I used Epiphany Crafts Square 25 Button Studio Tool and Square 25 Clear Button Caps. I used lovely paper from American Crafts to make the buttons too.

I also made a mini box to go along with the card. I used the Lifestyle Crafts Treat Box Die to make it.

I've added more Ephiphany Crafts square buttons to the box as well. I will be sure to add some sweet chocolate to the inside of the box just for Mom!

What do you have planned for Mother's Day?

A RootBeer Party with Epiphany Crafts & American Crafts

Thursday, April 25, 2013

*(Keep reading - the giveaway winner is posted below)

I've got a fun project today that features a match-up of goodies from both Epiphany Crafts and American Crafts.

I'm a teacher and the school year is coming to an end. My mind is already on summer. In fact, I'm already planning our family's summer pool parties. This year I want the festivities to include my favorite drink - ROOTBEER!

The tall bottles are IBC Rootbeer. They are just the right size and shape to add paper and embellies.  I found it best to use papers from the same collection. This made it easy to coordinate the button design.

The bottle sleeves were made with the Lifestyle Crafts Drink Sleeve Die. I also used Epiphany Crafts'  Round 25 Button Studio Tool and Round 25 Clear Button Caps for this project.

I used the American Crafts Dear Lizzy - Lucky Charm paper to decorate a mini can of A & W Rootbeer. And of course I added a coordinating button that I made with the Epiphany Crafts Button Round Tool.

I hope you all enjoyed the fun "Rootbeer Party" today!

It's Really, Really Tall!

Wednesday, April 17, 2013

Did you know that there are loads of fun templates and cutting files at The Cutting Cafe?

(P.S. - I'm also playing along in the Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger Challenge. I think my project fits in so well with the inspiration this week.)

I love gifting, so my new fave is the Tall Box template.

The set comes with one solid tall box, one with a window cut out, one with 4 window cut outs, 8 sentiments, and one window frame.

I made this one using paper and embellies from the Dear Lizzy - Lucky Charm collection.

Be sure to visit The Cutting Cafe Store for more fun crafty goodies.

Yay for Yellow!

YELLOW IS MY FAVE COLOR!

It makes me happy!

It's so bright and cheery!

It's just so me!

Yep, I really do love this color. I love making cards, layouts, altered projects, and just about anything else in yellow.

Here's my latest card for a sweet little baby girl. I kept the design crisp, clean, and simple. I added some fun Dear Lizzy - Lucky Charm paper and a tag.

I also used my die cutter to make the sentiment stand out more. The "baby love" wording is actually from SRM Stickers. I made the kraft butterflies with a Stampin' Up punch.

I used the sketch over at Cas(e) This Sketch!

And I found inspiration for my card over at the Runway Inspired Challenge.

Have a Happy Weekend!

Transform It Up Pretty!

Wednesday, April 3, 2013

Transformation! That's an interesting word that has been stuck in my vocabulary lately. I've been cleaning out my craft room and noticed a pile of lonely products that are just screaming to be transformed.

One such item was this one lonely piece of acrylic. It was leftover from an album that I made. It's not just any piece of acrylic either. It's from Clear Scraps!

This photo of my supplies served as my "mood board".
It really got my creative juices flowing to make my project.

The pretty paper and embellies are from Dear Lizzy - 5th & Frolic. I also used my handy dandy Stampin' Up punch to make the fluttering butterfly.

The tag is one of my faves from the collection. And I just swoon every time I see this wood button.

I will place this entire project into a frame and use it as decor for my craft room. Why spend money on decorative pieces when you have scrapbook supplies to use?

If you like using acrylic be sure to check out the goodies at Clear Scraps.

An Instagram Inspired Card

I {Heart} Instagram - - - How about you?

I'm having some camera fun today as I show off my latest creation for The Cutting Cafe.

And are you guys addicted to Instagram like I am?

Please leave a note in the comments below if you are on the site.
{I'd love to follow you.}

I really love the Cutting Cafe's Camera Photo Shaped Holder Template.

My girly camera was made using some Dear Lizzy - Lucky Charm paper and embellies. I made the kraft butterfly using my Stampin' Up punch.

My camera is a flat notecard, however there are so many uses for this file. It also includes a holder that is capable of holding up to ten 4" x 6" photos. There are several fun sentiments with this set too. See this post for more details.

See ya back here tomorrow for another fun-filled project!

A Wittle House & Chevrons

Monday, March 25, 2013

Happy Monday ya'll!

I've got a fun card for ya today.

A friend of mine just bought her very first home. This card will accompany the house warming gift that I am making for her.

And look at those brightly colored chevrons!

I just love the wittle house on my card! The paper and chipboard embellies are from the Dear Lizzy - 5th & Frolic collection. The chevron washi tape is from Paper Issues.

And be sure to check out this fun Pinterest Board this week. You will love the inspiration there!

You Better Study Girl!

Friday, February 22, 2013

Here's a fun new project that I made for each of my daughters!

For certain tests, I have taught them to use flashcards to help them remember the key terms they need to pass. I dressed up a wooden box to help with this goal. It looks so pretty on a desk too!

Both girls love to write, so I added a typewriter embellie to the front.

I love mini pencils!
They are fun to add to any gift set.

I got the colored index cards and the binder clip from Target!

The paper, tag, ribbon, and chipboard pieces are from the Dear Lizzy - 5th and Frolic collection. It's one of my faves!

I hope this helps my girls make an "A" on their next test!
At least it's pretty to look at. {LOL}

Hope you all have a great weekend!

A Clean & Simple Hello!

Hello Monday!

Wasn't that an awesome Super Bowl last night? My fave part of the night was Beyonce's performance. That girl can work it! We were singing and dancing along with her. Fun times!!!

I have a fun card for ya today! I haven't made a CAS card in a while and got crafty this weekend and put one together. I'm playing along in Casual Friday's - Love Letters challenge.

The paper, tag, and button are from the American Crafts - 5th & Frolic collection. I also used two different butterfly punches as well. My fave part of my card is the fun lettering on the tag.

I must make more CAS cards soon. This was a lot of fun to create!

Supplies:
Paper, tag, button - A.C. 5th & Frolic
Kraft & white cardstock - Bazzill
Punches - Stampin' Up and Martha Stewart

Happy Little Life!

Monday, January 28, 2013

I am literally surrounded by cuddly babies lately. One week ago my precious little nephew was born, and this weekend more cuteness came into the world. Several of my friends either gave birth or announced that they were preggers.

Check out my new baby girlie tag. I made several of these using The Cutting Cafe's Onesie Shaped Template. They are so perfect to attach to give bags and boxes.

I used American Crafts - Dear Lizzy - 5th and Frolic paper and embellishments on my project. These goodies really "dressed up" my onesie really well.

This onesie is so versatile for all types of projects. You can use it as a template or cutting file. You can also use the blank onesie or the one with words added. The possibilities are endless! Be sure to order yours here at The Cutting Cafe.
