Celebration Card and Superstar Wand Set

Tuesday, April 28, 2015

It's been stressful for both teachers and students here in Texas. We've been busy with standardized testing.

I made a fun project for my students after their test results came in last week. They were so relieved to hear that they passed their reading test.

It was a fun time to cheer on their success. Of course, I used fun products from Richard Garay's Celebrations line.

The test is called STAAR here in our state, so of course I whipped out a Celebrations star shaped die to use on the card.

And check out the blue color behind the star. I used a stamp called Brush Strokes. This stamp gives a fun watercolor effect on your project. It's one of my faves to use!

I also made a "Superstar wand" using a lollipop stick and the same star shaped die. I wrapped the stick with Celebrations green linen thread. I must make more of these. My students loved them!

You can always check out the products by clicking here! They are so fun to use for any type of Celebration!

I have the BIGGEST sweet tooth! I guess that's why I'm in love with the Yummy and Delicious products from Fun Stampers Journey!

I used this sweet line of products to create a birthday cupcake and gift card holder.

What is Yummy & Delicious anyway? They are a mini collection of stamps, dies, paper, and embellishments that were created by Richard Garay. Aren't the colors so super sweet?

Here's a close-up shot of the cupcake topper that I created using one of the yummy stamps and pennant die.

I also used the pocket card and banner parade dies to make a gift card holder. This gift set would be so fun for a teen, co-worker, or a sweet friend!

My Selfie Scrapbook - Getting Started

Thursday, April 23, 2015

I'm on a mission to tell my story when I scrapbook. That's why I just had to join in on the fun challenge known as #myselfiescrapbook.

What is it?

Jen and Julie started this adventure "to help you tell your story - not your family's story or your child's story"...

The challenge is to document yourself all month long and capture everyday moments. Here's what I came up with so far...

I'm using a 4" x 4" leather album for this one. I also used a variety of Project Life and pocket page inserts. Because this album is so small, I had to cut my cards up to fit in the pockets. I also used a corner rounder on each of them.

The "Have some fun" hand-scripted card is a free digital download from Alex Hunter Designs. You can find it here. I used a variety of other elements as well. (See below for a full list of supplies).

I hope you will stay tuned as I fill up more of #myselfiescrapbook.
My next post will show you how to mix physical elements with digital ones. It gives your album a nice, crisp look too!

Be sure to follow me on Instagram - @angibarrs
And to join in on this challenge check out this post!

Celebrate with a Popcorn Party

Monday, April 20, 2015

My daughter is a popcorn fanatic! I'm always looking for fun ways to incorporate this buttery snack into a party project.

I thought of the perfect way to use it when I was looking through my box of fun products from Richard Garay's Celebrations line.

Here's what I came up with!

I used the Sweet Treats stamp and die to make the tag hanging from my paper bag. There are a variety of ink colors in this line that will color coordinate with your party theme too!

I also used the Fun Sentiments die to make the word "Celebrate".

I hope you all enjoyed my fun party project today! Just looking at these photos makes me want some popcorn right about now! Enjoy!

Clearly Creative Hop with The Little Blue House

Friday, April 17, 2015

Ready for some crafty fun? It's time for this month's blog hop with The Little Blue House.

This time around it's all about being "clearly creative". The media team is showcasing how we used Clear Cuts from Bella Blvd

I decided to make some fun party favor boxes. I used Amy Tangerine paper and embellishments on my boxes.

I also have a mini tutorial on how I used Clear Cuts.

Step 1: Grab your paper and cut a box using a die. I used a Lifestyle Crafts treat box die.

Step 2: Measure and cut a piece of Clear Cuts that match the dimension of your box. Place that piece on the front of your box using adhesive.
(Tip: I used a small dab of vellum adhesive so that it wouldn't show through the clear design.)

Step 3: Place a lollipop stick through the front opening of your box. You can also make an opening yourself with a whole punch.

Step 4: Add a gem to the lollipop stick. A mini clothespin can be used to close your box.

Here are other ways to design your mini boxes. Be creative and dress them up any way that you'd like!

I hope you enjoyed my fun project today!

Now it's time for prizes. Here's what's up for grabs! Be sure to comment on all of the blogs in the hop to be eligible to win!

The Clearly Creative prize pack includes: - 6 clear 12x12 sheets, 1 pack of wood stickers, 1 pack of alpha block stickers, and 1 pack of enamel shapes from the We-R-Memory-Keepers Clearly Bold collection.

Craft Time - Celebrations Party Set!

Thursday, April 16, 2015

Do you have a reason to celebrate today? I sure do after using these fun products from Richard Garay's Celebrations collection.

The paper, dies, and embellishments are so fun for party time. Let me show you how!

I can never find the exact party element when I search my local stores.  I prefer to make my own.

How do you like this party box and paper pocket? I made them myself using the Celebrations paper.

The pierced star and "Fun" sentiment were made with Celebrations dies. It was so easy to make these using my die cutter.

I used a hole punch on the top of my box and placed a lollipop stick inside. I wrapped the lollipop stick with a fringe element. This element was made with a Celebrations die.

The "It's your day - Celebrate" sentiment was stamped onto cardstock using Celebrations stamps and ink.

Be sure to check out the Celebrations collection before your next party! Your guest will cheer when they see all the cuteness!

Supplies:
Celebration Prints paper
Dies - Pierced Stars, Fun Sentiments, Fringe
Stamp - Your Day
Ink - Lovely Lavender

Crafting with The Container Store

Tuesday, April 14, 2015

Do you have a favorite store? I have quite a few! One of my all-time faves is The Container Store.

I was in there recently and noticed that they have a bunch of new products in the gift wrap and office supply sections. I picked up a couple of these products to use in a fun craft project.

Here's what I came up with...

Gift bags are my thing! I dressed up the muslin bag that I found in the store with my paper craft supplies.

I used this fun Heidi Swapp paper and dies from We-R-Memory-Keepers too!

And check out those sunglasses! I found these fun paper clips in the store as well. They easily attach to the bags with ease.

Here are all the supplies. They look so cute when you put them all together!

The Container store is not just for storage and organization! There are a lot of other fun products too!

DIY Bridal Shower Favors

Tuesday, April 7, 2015

Since this announcement, I've gotten to have loads of creative play with some really fun products.

As I unpacked each box I found myself immediately placing the cutest stamp and dies right on my craft table. Here's what I made with them...

Wedding season is fast approaching and brides are always looking for fun ways to celebrate. With this in mind, I created a bridal shower gift set.

They are the perfect pair for any beautiful bride. This set can also be used as gifts for bridesmaids.

I used products from from Richard Garay's "Celebrations" line of products. You can find them at Spellbinders

I really love the Many Words stamp set that I used on the box. It has a variety of sentiments for any kind of celebration. The Celebrations printed paper is also colorful and bright to use when crafting. The ink and dies are so fun to play with too!

Stay tuned! I will have more projects featuring these fun products each week!

And here's a look at the Celebrations booth during CHA! Don't you just want to sit in there and have a fun party? I sure do!

Project Life Pocket Pages XOXO

Wednesday, April 1, 2015

I know that it's already April, but it's never too late to work on this year's Project Life pages. I'm playing catch-up and documenting my fun-filled February happenings.

Here's what I came up with....

It's all about love in February! Do you see me up there in the photo modeling my new beanie hat? It was so fun and festive to wear.

I also got a fun shot of Rachel looking over the lake. It was so chilly that day too. She was all bundled up in her coat and scarf.
I used a fun app to add a Bokeh effect to the photo.

I used my handy dandy shaped punched to add a butterfly to one of the cards. We were wishing for springtime temps for sure that day.
That canvas heart is one of my faves too!

I love, love, love Heidi Swapp products. I used her Project Life Gold Foil Value Kit to make this page! I love all of the touches of gold and pink in this collection. I also added a couple of SRM Sticker pieces on this page too!

Have you gotten into making Project Life pages yet? I'm hooked!
