Marquee Letter Love

I just love marquee letters! They are on my must have list for party decor! I've been eyeing the Heidi Swapp letters for a long time. I finally dressed one up!

Here's a photo of it in action in my craft room!

Each one comes with instructions that are easy to follow. You would need to purchase paint, glitter, or washi tape to decorate your letter.

I really love the silver polka-dotted washi tape. It looks fab on my letter.

I can't wait to use this for party decor! They are so fun and festive for just about every occasion!

SRM Stickers Instagram Album & Fun News

There are some craft companies out there that I just LOVE! 

SRM Stickers is one of them! Besides having great products, the leader of this company is the SWEETEST! 

Yep, I'm talking about Susan McShirley. And guess what she did? She formed an all-star team for the 2015-2016 term. This group is made up of past design team members who are big fans of SRM Stickers. 

And guess what? I was selected to be a part of this team! Woo Hoo!

And now I've just got to show you a fun way to use your SRM Stickers. I often use them on my Project Life spreads, but this time I've made a fun Instagram album. 

Here's what I came up with...

Photography is a hobby of mine and I fill my Instagram account
 with loads of photos.  

See the "yellow June sticker"? It's from SRM Stickers.  They make colorful stickers that can coordinate with your photos and embellishments.

And I love that they have stickers for all seasons! I used a springtime themed sticker for this page of my mom and I.

And one of my fave stickers are the Sticker Stitches.  I used them to adorn the left side of my Project Life Card. So fun! 

The card, stickers, and photo of Rachel and her Papa go so well together!

And here I've mixed SRM Stickers and Heidi Swapp Project Life
goodies.  It adds some extra fun to the page!

I used We-R-Memory Keepers Instagram album for this project. It's a cute 4" x 4" size and comes in a variety of colors. They are a great size for gifting too!

Project Life - My Fave Kit!

If you follow me on my Instagram account then you know that I love to share my Project Life spreads and ideas over there.

I love to sit at my craft table (with a cuppa coffee) and come up with different ways to pull everything together.

I tried something different with this one. I only used one photo and used more elements from the kit. 

I also left more white space. This made the colors really pop!

I didn't add any extra embellishments! There was no need to because this kit is fabulous when used all alone!

My next spread only used two photos. I'm documenting my fun times with the Houston Insta-Sistas. We all met through Instagram and meet up several times a year for lunch! #funtimes

Which Project Life kit did I use?

This FABULOUS kit is called "September Skies". I found this one at Hobby Lobby and used my handy dandy coupon!

It's from Heidi Swapp and contains foil cards, acetate cards, acetate ephemera, and paper ephemera. 

The combination of foil, acetate and paper makes for pretty pages. This kit is one of my FAVES for sure!

My Selfie Scrapbook - Getting Started

I'm on a mission to tell my story when I scrapbook. That's why I just had to join in on the fun challenge known as #myselfiescrapbook.

What is it?

Jen and Julie started this adventure "to help you tell your story - not your family's story or your child's story"...

The challenge is to document yourself all month long and capture everyday moments. Here's what I came up with so far...

I'm using a 4" x 4" leather album for this one. I also used a variety of Project Life and pocket page inserts. Because this album is so small, I had to cut my cards up to fit in the pockets. I also used a corner rounder on each of them.

The "Have some fun" hand-scripted card is a free digital download from Alex Hunter Designs. You can find it here. I used a variety of other elements as well. (See below for a full list of supplies).

I hope you will stay tuned as I fill up more of #myselfiescrapbook.
My next post will show you how to mix physical elements with digital ones. It gives your album a nice, crisp look too!

Crafting with The Container Store

Do you have a favorite store? I have quite a few! One of my all-time faves is The Container Store.

I was in there recently and noticed that they have a bunch of new products in the gift wrap and office supply sections. I picked up a couple of these products to use in a fun craft project.

Here's what I came up with...

Gift bags are my thing! I dressed up the muslin bag that I found in the store with my paper craft supplies. 

I used this fun Heidi Swapp paper and dies from We-R-Memory-Keepers too! 

And check out those sunglasses! I found these fun paper clips in the store as well. They easily attach to the bags with ease.

Here are all the supplies. They look so cute when you put them all together!

The Container store is not just for storage and organization! There are a lot of other fun products too! 

Project Life Pocket Pages XOXO

I know that it's already April, but it's never too late to work on this year's Project Life pages. I'm playing catch-up and documenting my fun-filled February happenings.

Here's what I came up with....

It's all about love in February! Do you see me up there in the photo modeling my new beanie hat? It was so fun and festive to wear.

I also got a fun shot of Rachel looking over the lake. It was so chilly that day too. She was all bundled up in her coat and scarf. 

I used a fun app to add a Bokeh effect to the photo.

I used my handy dandy shaped punched to add a butterfly to one of the cards. We were wishing for springtime temps for sure that day.

That canvas heart is one of my faves too! 

I love, love, love Heidi Swapp products. I used her Project Life Gold Foil Value Kit to make this page! I love all of the touches of gold and pink in this collection. I also added a couple of SRM Sticker pieces on this page too!

Project Life Pocket Page - Coffee Lovers

Yep, I love coffee! I am not ashamed to admit it. Today's project will give you a little glimpse into my coffee addiction.

I was so excited when I found out about the Spring Coffee Lovers blog hop. 
I just had to join in! 

Instead of making a card I decided to make a Project Life page about my coffee mug collection. I got my latest one from Old Navy last weekend. It's so cute and pink. 

I used a lot of Me and My Big Ideas pocket page cards for this one. I also added a large canvas heart from Heidi Swapp.

Flash Friday with the Blue Crew

It's Flash Friday ya'll! This is a fun challenge that originated with the Blue Crew over at The Little Blue House!

The LBH Media Team has a virtual craft session on the first Friday of every month. The challenge was to complete a layout in 30 minutes or less!

Here's my page! (I took this one out of the pocket photo sleeves to reduce the glare).

I decided to create another Project Life page. This type of pocket-page scrapbooking is PERFECT when you are in a time crunch. This page can be made in a flash.

I completed another page for my Comic Con album. There were so many people dressed in fun costumes. We even got to meet some celebrities too!

I used a mix of Teresa Collins Studio Gold with Heidi Swapp's Project Life products. 

And my daughter Rachel was lucky enough to meet this guy! Isn't he handsome? 

His name is Charles Michael Davis and he stars in the CW show - "The Originals"

Project Life: Comic Con Style

This past summer I had the pleasure of attending Comic Con in San Diego. What is Comic Con you ask? It is a HUGE convention that showcases everything from comics, movies, and television shows.

Every year that I've attended I have met my fave celebrities from television and movies. If you follow me on Instagram then you have seen all of the celebs that I got to meet and take photos with. 

Here is my first page commemorating my fun times at this event!

Here are a few close up shots. I ordered my photo prints from Kanvess. I love their 3" x 3" size. 

I made the super hero using my Silhouette Cameo. The super boy cut file is one of my faves!

Here's how it looks in the photo sleeve! I used the 8.5 x 11 photo sleeves from We R Memory Keepers. I love doing pages in this size. It makes it quick and easy to complete my albums.

I also used the Project Life - Heidi Swapp - Color Magic Value Kit.
