My BFF Loves to Shop!

Wednesday, March 28, 2012

I'm on a mini bag craze lately...LOL

Here's a mini gift bag set that I made for one of my BFF's. She loves to shop. You should see her purse collection. Wow...I could literally go shopping in her closet. Every girl needs a friend like this. I get to borrow the prettiest stuff!

I dressed the kraft bags up with adorable Imaginisce - Sole Sisters paper & embellies. I'll put some gift cards inside of each one. Gift cards are the perfect gift idea. I love for my buddies to be able to buy the things that they actually like. :)

Hope you enjoyed my mini bags. I'll be off of this craze soon...I hope!

DIY Easter Gift Card Holders

Monday, March 26, 2012

Happy Monday everyone! It's standardized testing week at school so it will be a super busy one for me. Say a little prayer for us. My students have been working so hard to prepare for this this test!

I wanted to pop in today with a fun entry for the Moxie Fab World Practical Solutions Week: The Household Items Challenge. Love their fun challenges!

My home office has a stack of old and worn out file folders. Instead of throwing them out, I decided to recycle them and make gift card holders for my little cousins for Easter.
I found this really cool library card pocket template online. I printed it out and traced it on each file folder. I then cut it out and added Easter embellies. So super fun and easy to make. Want the template for yourself? Click {Here}. You can adjust the size to your liking using Picassa or Photoshop too. It is also best to use file folders with the wide tabs on them.

I added a doily and a Pretty Little Studios Peter Rabbit Vintage Tag to the front. This is the perfect embellishment for Easter projects.

When using the template, make sure you leave enough room on the inside of your pocket so that your gift card fits perfectly inside. I also added a Martha Stewart Crafts toothpick embellie.

Hope you enjoyed my little project.
Please join me tomorrow for more crafty fun!

Tuesday, March 20, 2012

*This is my 2nd post today. Please see below for SSD*

Welcome to The Twinery and the Ribbon Carousel Blog Hop!

You should have arrived here from Debbie Carriere's blog.

My project combined some colorful Twinery baker's twine, along with some festive orange ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel. And since we looove "Spongebob" here in our house - I added the ever loveable Patrick on this fun card and candy set.

Here's my fun and colorful set!

I used twine & ribbon on both the card and the metal canister. I used Twinery baker's twine in "Lilac" along with the Ribbon Carousel Orange V-Striped Twill Ribbon. I filled the canister with yummy Skittles.

Be sure to leave comments all along the way to win 2 fabulous prizes. The Ribbon Carousel is giving away a $15 shopping spree. And The Twinery is giving away this colofrul bunch sampler pack of baker's twine.
