Decorating Your Monthly Planner

Monday, March 30, 2015

The planner craze is alive and well! I must admit that I am just now trying this out for the first time. Keep reading to hear my take on all of this....

I must admit that I had a great time doing this! Since I am a paper crafter this fit along well with my creative brain.

I started out small and began with the month of April. There are so many fun products out there to use, but I chose some that I had on hand to show you how easy the process is.

Here's what I used:

1. Decorative stickers - SRM Stickers are a great option for your planner decor. They come in all sizes and are clear stickers. Some have colorful graphics that you can easily color coordinate with other elements. They also have a variety of options that fit in well with appointments, holidays, and special occasions.

2. Embellishments - Crafters have loads of these on hand already. Enamel dots, gems, wooden clothespins, and decorative paper clips are a great addition to your planner pages. (The paper clip and enamel dots are from Fun Stampers Journey).

3. Stamps - Look closely at April 12th. I stamped the word "enjoy" on that day. There are so many "word & sentiment" stamps out there that you can easily use on your planner.

4. Washi Tape - I also used a bit of this to add some color and fun to my planner. They sell these colorful rolls everywhere and at great prices too! I used some fun FSJ washi tape on this one!

Be sure to check out the SRM Stickers store. Be sure to tell Susan that Angi sent you! :)

VW Bus Party Idea

Friday, March 27, 2015

I have a geeky love for the VW bus. It's such a cute vehicle. I really would love to own one of my own!

While I'm waiting for that dream to come true let's enjoy my newly created party favor. This one would be so fun to help you have your own VW Bus party.

This VW bus stamp was the perfect choice for this project. You find the "Let's Go" stamp at Fun Stampers Journey.

I layered the stamped image on other pieces and a colorful doily. I also used a paper straw.

Most of these crafty goodies are from Richard Garay's line of products called Celebrations. The decor on the box was made with the Fringed Garland die and the sentiment was made using the "Many Words" stamp set. You can find all of these products at Spellbinders or Scrapbook.com.

And here's a fun picture of a VW bus. Isn't it the cutest? I can just imagine myself driving it to the beach or taking it on a road trip. Fun times!

Craft Day - Blooming Monogram

Saturday, March 21, 2015

Remember my blog post detailing my fun time in Phoenix? Well, this is one of the fun craft projects that we got to make. -It's a blooming monogram!

This project is part of this month's Make, Live, Share!

This project was so easy and fun to make. The letter was purchased at a local craft store. We then added die cut flowers using Fun Stampers Journey dies - Sweet Today (DI-0016), Daisy Blooms (DI-0010), and Flower Party (DI-0013).

You can view the video tutorial by clicking on this link.

And what is Make, Live, Share?

It is a movement created by Richard Garay to help Journey coaches share their passion for crafting with their friends, family, and community.

Project Life Pocket Page - Coffee Lovers

Thursday, March 5, 2015

Yep, I love coffee! I am not ashamed to admit it. Today's project will give you a little glimpse into my coffee addiction.

I was so excited when I found out about the Spring Coffee Lovers blog hop.
I just had to join in!

Instead of making a card I decided to make a Project Life page about my coffee mug collection. I got my latest one from Old Navy last weekend. It's so cute and pink.

I used a lot of Me and My Big Ideas pocket page cards for this one. I also added a large canvas heart from Heidi Swapp.

If you love coffee as much as I do be sure to hop on over and join in the fun here!

Also, to see more of my coffee mugs follow me on Instagram!
