Documenting this Sweet Face

Friday, December 27, 2013

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!

I'm popping in today with a new layout of my cutie pie nephew. My sister took this picture of him while he was enjoying yummy snack time. I love the expression on his face and had to document this fun moment.

I used the Creative Scrappers sketch for this one!

Did you notice the fun element that I added to the top of the photo? I used some paper confetti shreds. I think it adds an interesting touch to the page.

The paper, stickers, and embellishments are from the CTMH - Babycakes collection. The wooden "documented" piece is from The Paper Bakery.

The journaling is from a poem that I found online about little boys. I think it fits so well with the photo!

I hope you all enjoy your weekend! I'll be popping in with more new projects!!!

My Hair is Blowing in the Wind!

Friday, November 1, 2013

It's not my favorite photo, but there is something about it that is real and natural for my "me" scrapbook.

It was a windy day! We were out at the lake so that I could get some photos of Rachel. After a while, she turned the camera on me and took some shots. I've been holding onto this photo for months until I found the perfect paper to use.

Here's how I put this page together...

I used loads of different products. I really love the background paper and banner. They are from the Glitz Design - Cashmere Dame collection. I also used some goodies from Allison Kreft's - Recorded collection. The butterfly was made with a Stampin' Up butterfly punch.

I'm a sketch kinda girl, so I used a fun one from Creative Scrappers.

They even had a great idea on their blog. Why not flip the sketch? That's what I ended up doing for this page.
Do you ever flip your sketches?

The Faith Page

I'm really sticking to my plan of getting Rachel's scrapbook completed. Here's my latest page. The photo was taken on Easter at our church. I just love that cross. I had to get a photo of her sitting near it for her senior book.

I used the fun sketch from Creative Scrappers!

I used lots of My Mind's Eye Chalk Studio on this one. I also threw in some Simple Stories and Basic Grey too. I threw on some silver gems as well. I think they look really well against the black paper.

Join me back here on Friday for a Blog Celebration for

Meet Cokie & Some Nerds!

Thursday, October 28, 2010

Meet Cokie! She's my sister,Nicole, and the inspiration behind the name of my blog - Cokie Pop Paper.

I'm catching up on layouts for my family scrapbook and just finished this page for her. This is my FAVE picture of her. She's such a Diva.....that's why I love her.

I used this cute sketch from Creative Scrappers
I also entered this in the chipboard challenge going on over at If The Shoe Fits...Scrap It!
I mixed chipboard with a paper flower for a different kind of a look to the page.
I also added a canvas heart and topped it with more chipboard.

I added the name "Cokie" using A.C. glitter thickers.
I also used a huge chipboard bracket embellie in the center.
Here's another shot from a different angle.

We are also having N.E.R.D. Day at school today. I totally forgot....been so busy. But here are some cute Nerds I found around campus this morning.

Mrs. Rubitschun has the cutest Nerd outfit on today!

My Brownie Girl!

Sunday, August 8, 2010

I completed another layout. Can you believe it? I made a promise to myself to complete a couple of layouts a week.......so you will be seeing more of them on my blog.

My last layout was all about Bekah (my oldest daughter). This one is all about Rachel - the youngest. She's starting high school in 2 weeks and I am just now getting caught up on her Girl Scout album. She's still in Scouts so I guess I'm not too far behind. That's her standing on the left with the pink bow in her hair.
I followed the sketch over at Creative Scrappers for this one. I love the look of this sketch. I used a modge podge of my favorite products to complete this one.

I love the punched border and the little birdie sticker from Basic Grey. I had to add this somewhere on the layout because it's so cute. I also used so many embellies on this that it also qualified for the challenge going on over at The Pink Elephant this week.

Here's a close-up pic of the felt circle embellies that I used from American Crafts.
