Since I am wrapping a lot of large packages this Christmas, I decided to make another oversized tag. The cute reindeer is from the cover of a set of note cards that I have on my desk. I love this Bo Bunny Paper. It already had beautiful script writing in the design of the paper.

I wanted to dress up the tag a bit so I added fancy ribbon and a beautiful brad.
I took the brad off of a Prima flower.

This tag was so simple to make. Here's how to make one.

1. Trace the pattern of an oversized tag using cardstock. Cut out your tag.
2. Use that pattern to trace out the tag on patterned paper. Cut it out and adhere it on top of the cardstock tag.
3. Add your favorite image or embellishment.
4. Add a glitter brad somewhere. I added a red one to the top of his hat.
5. Add fancy ribbon.
6. Add an oversized brad.
7. Tada! You've made a homemade tag.

I'm offering a prize on my blog during the hop. I'm giving away some Stampin Up! Candy Cane Designer Series Christmas Paper.
The winner will be selected on December 26th. Here's how to win:

1. Leave a comment telling me about your favorite Christmas memory.
2. If you like my blog you can also click (right column) to "follow" my blog. (2 entries for followers) :)

Merry Christmas to you and yours and thank you again for joining us for the Papercraft Star Tags of Christmas Blog Hop, your next stop on the hop is Tracy's Blog. Happy Hopping!

I also wanted to play at Wee Memories this week and am entering this for their challenge. :)

Tag Supplies:
Cardstock (Stampin Up!); Patterned Paper (Bo Bunny - St. Nick Toyland); Ribbon (Celebrate It); Brad (from Prima flower); Image (from note pad)

Your tag is FANTASTIC Angi!! I really need a lesson from you on how to apply glitter so well (I totally suck at it for a lack of a better word to describe my ability to use glitter!)... at any rate you did another WONDERFUL job on your inspiration piece! Merry Christmas!!!

This is gorgeous, Angi!! I have to start looking at things the way you do. I just love the way you create such marvellous items using the "old"! That little reindeer is so sweet - and the paper is perfect!
Without a doubt, my favourite Christmas memory is staying at my grandparents' house in England after we had moved to Canada. We awoke Christmas morning, and Granny had used silver glitter through the house to show where Father Christmas had been. It was SO magical for me. Gran spent AGES vacuuming when we had left, but I just treasure that little extra bit she did for us. I'll never forget that Christmas!!

What I find so attractive here is the juxtaposition of the elegant with a reindeer wearing clothes ! How did you make that work, I cannot tell at all.
My favorite memory is when my hub and two b/i/l made a stocking for my mother that was filled with terrible presents - like mousetraps and mothballs, and those horrible peep candies, only they were Halloween candies. Of course we gave her a real one later !
Merry, merry to you and your family, Angi !!

I have to agree with Jan, Angi...I was going to say, I like the play between the elegant and that cute reindeer wearing glittered clothes!

My favorite Christmas memory was having Christmas at my grandmothers. She always had to have a PINK flocked Christmas tree. Very avent guard in the '60's.

Thanks for the chance to win that pretty paper, I am already a follower

I just found this blog and am a new follower. Love your tag. elegant, simple, and easy to make. My favorite memory of Christmas was the year after my parents divorced. My mother was working Christmas Eve night and didn't get off till midnight. We 3 older kids (15, 12, 9) were downstairs putting a tricycle together for my 2 year old brother said brother was already fast asleep for the night. The fun of putting it together with my siblings and the grateful look on Moms face when she got home and realized she didn't have anything to build will stay with me forever.

What a cute tag, Angi! I love the festive lil reindeer! My favorite Christmas memory is the felt advent calendar my mom made when we were very small. Adhering the little ornaments to the tree and finding the little treats in the pockets was so much fun! Merry Christmas!!

Cute reindeer tag Angi! My favorite Christmas memory would have to be the year we heard a noise on the roof and just knew it had to be Santa landing his sleigh. You know how hard it is to fall asleep on Christmas Eve.

It's hard to pick just one memory, but one I think about a lot was how around 10a.m. Christmas morning, my grandparents would show up at the door and it was like Christmas morning would start all over again! Presents (always wrapped in shiny solid-red paper), mom's brunch goodies, laughter so loud you could hear it outside...I miss my grandparents a lot, but I'm really grateful for all the fun they brought to Christmas.

Oh and I signed up as a follower. It may be under my email address: princess puppy :)

Already a follower. Love your tag. The reindeer is so cute. My favorite memory is our first year together for my husband and I. He wasn't much on wrapping so he put everything he bought for me into one large brown box. Then at midnight he couldn't wait any longer and had me open the box.
