Best Day Ever!

Happy Weekend everyone! I'm just sitting here staring at my "To Do" list. One thing I know for sure is that we are going to see the new "Twilight - Breaking Dawn" movie". Rachel is "Team Edward" and of course I'm "Team Jacob"!  We've got a big group of Twilight Obsessed friends going with us to the show. It's gonna be fun!!!

To get the weekend started I'm playing along in the Moxie Fab World's - "The Random Fun Challenge". This one is for Button Day which is celebrated on Nov. 16th! {Love me some buttons!!!}

I used some fun MME Happy Days buttons and chipboard.
The polka dot paper is from Echo Park!

Hybrid Design Day - "Hello"

Wednesday, November 16, 2011

Hello everyone!
I'm still waiting patiently for my repaired camera...{sigh}

In the meantime please enjoy "Hybrid Design Day".

This fun Jen Martakis digital paper is from the "Just Smile" collection. Her designs are so fun to use. I spruced up a plain kraft notebook to give it more pizzazz. {I even wrapped the small little pen with the digital paper}.

Be sure to check out Jen's digital kits over at Two Peas!

Happy Veteran's Day to all of my fellow
Marines out there! Oohrah!!!

Did ya notice my post title today? That's the motto we use in our school district to promote reading. I am a Language Arts teacher so I encourage my students to put down the video games once in a while and read, read, read!

Teachers Rock!

Wednesday, November 9, 2011

Before I get into the project details I wanted to send BIG hugs to my teacher buddies - Lisa & Denise for letting me borrow their cameras this week. You ladies Rock!!!

My brand new Nikon camera is not working...sigh...so I'm having to ship it out for repair. Technology just does not like me lately :-(

Now on to my project...I have many crafty enablers. One of them is the wonderful Julie Tucker-Wolek. She always has some adorable projects made with Nikki Sivils' products.

After seeing the "School is Cool" kit I knew I had to get it and make something fun! So here's my very first Nikki Sivils project!

Thanks for the inspiration Julie.

{This box is perfect for the fun Wee Memories - Gifts, Tags, and Boxes Challenge!}

Don't have access to Photoshop? You don't need it to work with digital files. You can save the file to your computer and simply print them out on cardstock using your color printer.

Having Fun With Kraft!

Friday, November 4, 2011

I have really enjoyed my time Guest Designing for The Kraft Journal. Here's one more project that I wanted to share!

This time I made a card and tag set using kraft cardstock and tags from The Kraft Outlet.

I used a Martha Stewart border punch to add some decorative flair to my card. I also added texture by using twill ribbon, a metal heart, and paper roses.

I added even more texture to the tag by using alpha letters made of fabric. They come in a fun green color and are made by American Crafts. They are a part of the Amy Tangerine line of products.

Be sure to check back on my blog for a
Wonderful Announcement!

Also, I hope you all play with us at LESSology for Challenge #5: Jars of Cuteness challenge. Hop on over to the LESSology blog for inspiration.
