The Thank You Card Project

Wednesday, April 30, 2014

There are so many ways to say "Thank You"!

I like to do it the "crafty way" and make fun stuff for all of the sweet people in my life.

I sat down one day and made ten thank you cards for my fellow teachers. They offered loads of prayers and hugs when my dad had major surgery a couple of weeks ago.

I used this 6 x 6 paper pad from Fancy Pants Designs. It's the Park Bench collection. I love the colors in this one, especially the yellow and light blue colors. The "thank you" sentiment is from SRM Stickers.

And since I'm learning to sew, I put together a canvas flower as well to add to a gift bag. It's a cute little set that can be quickly put together.

How do you say thank you?

Holiday Inspiration Crew Mother's Day Hop

Saturday, April 26, 2014

Welcome to the Mother's Day Inspiration Blog Hop!
You should have come here from Rachel Kleinman's fabulous blog.

We're just a group of crafty friends who love being creative. This time we've made some fun projects that mommy will love.

At the bottom of this post is a list of all the crafty ladies that are participating in this event. Be sure to visit all the blogs for great inspiration.

I made a mini tag set that can be added to a gift bag. Each of the tags have sweet sentiments that are sure to make mom smile.

I added a flower and a sterling silver crown charm to the front.

Here are the rest...

The "hello" is a cut file. It's from Pebbles in my Pocket. I used paper from Pink Paislee's "Hey Kid" collection and the "mother" sentiment is from SRM Stickers.

And this one is for all of you wonderful mom's out there!
You are all Rock Stars!!!
Your next stop on the hop is sweet Annette Allen's Blog.
And here is the complete list!
Happy Hopping!

Hello Spring Gift Box

Wednesday, April 23, 2014

I stroll down the gift wrap aisle of my favorite store quite often. A nifty gift bag or box always catches my eye. I immediately start wondering if I can make something similar at home. Well, if you have a die cutting machine you can make just about anything.

My latest project is this 3D Mason Canning Jar Box. {I'm a sucker for mason jars}.

The "hello" title on the front of my jar is from Pebbles in my Pocket. I will be using this one a lot!

The fun thing about this shape is that it's so perfect for springtime projects. The trick for me was finding the right paper to make this project shine. I used paper from Pink Paislee's "Hey Kid" collection. The colors are so bright and happy.

Here are some interesting facts about this project:

  • It was affordable to make. The supply cost was about $1. The gift bags & boxes in the store are way more expensive.
  • You can personalize this gift for Mother's Day, birthdays, etc.
  • It's easy to put the pieces together.
  • It's a pretty homemade gift that people will love!

I'll be sharing more gifting and party ideas soon!

Happy gifting!!!

Happy Easter with Silhouette!

Happy Easter everyone!!!

Did you know that there are a lot of free cut file shapes online? I found this one at Silhouette.
It's perfect for springtime or Easter crafting. You can use all of some of the shapes that are included in the set.
I really love the bunny ears in this set. I used them to make Easter bunny bags for the kiddos.

And if you are looking for kraft bags, be sure to grab some from SRM Stickers. I just love their containers and bags.

Be sure to stay tuned to the blog. I will be featuring more fun party projects this month!

Easter Burlap Bag & Winner

Friday, April 11, 2014

Happy almost Easter everyone!

I'm popping in today to share a fun idea for family and friends. I actually made these for the students that I mentor at school. They are the perfect size for gifting too!

This one was easy to make:

1. Fold down the sides of a mini burlap bag. You can get these in the SRM Stickers shop.

2. Adhere an Easter bunny die-cut card, stickers from SRM, and a paper flower to the front of your bag. The die cut card is from Imaginisce's Welcome Spring collection.

3. Stuff the inside with paper confetti and candy-filled plastic eggs.

4. Enjoy!

Have you guys started crafting for Easter yet?
(There's only one more week to go!)

Oh and I almost forgot about this! Here is the winner of the SRM Sticker pack! Congrats and I will be contacting you today!

The first challenge is all about "Celebrations". It's a month long challenge so you have plenty of time to create something. All entries must be received by April 30th!

I decided to create a "wedding celebration" project. I made gift bags that can be used for bridal showers or wedding favors.

Playing along in the challenge is easy! Here are the rules:

(You can combine them with your stamps, paper, diecuts, embellishments, etc.)

2. Create any type of project - (card, altered project, layout, home decor, etc.)

3. You can link to other challenges - (there is no limit).

I hope to see you guys play along!!!
