Craft Party Day with Silhouette

Friday, May 30, 2014

Creating is more fun with a bunch of friends!

I love to get together with my pals for a day of creating. To live up to the “hostess with the mostest” title, I love to decorate several tables in my home to create a fun atmosphere. I really wanted to find some shapes that would serve a purpose for this crafty themed party. As I was browsing, I came across this 3D Princess Envelope Bag. It’s just the perfect size for make-and-take projects.

The 3D Princess Envelope Bags are versatile and can be resized to fit any purpose. I will fill each one with buttons, flair, and other embellishments for my guests. I also cut these Getting Crafty Life Cards. These cards serve as great table decor and gifts for those attending your craft party.
And did you notice the scissors? I used some bright and colorful paper for these. Be sure to adhere these using a pop dot to make stand out more on your projects.

I hope you enjoyed my craft party today!

A Bows and Bubblegum Party

Friday, May 23, 2014

Parties are a lot more fun when you add a fun twist to the theme! This party idea literally popped into my head one day while I was passing out bubblegum to a classroom full of teenagers. That evening I quickly browsed online for a fun shape and found this adorable 3D Bow by Lori Whitlock. It was the perfect addition to this party theme!

The  first step in creating this party is to buy a large bag of colorful bubblegum balls. Add a different color to mini-paint pails.  Then create the bows to coordinate with the color of the bubblegum. Easy, fun, and quick!

I hope you enjoyed the party!

Fun Mother's Day Crafting

Sunday, May 11, 2014

Happy Mother's Day!!!!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

You all know that I love creating gift sets. Today I have some inspiration for a last minute Mother's Day gift and card that are quick and easy to make.

First up is a "Mommy Perfume Bucket".  Small biodegradable planters are a fun way to hold perfumes and lotions.  I added a "Mother" sticker to the front of the planter.  It's from SRM's Mother Quick Card.

I also added toothpick embellishments and used more SRM Stickers.  They look like little flowers popping up out of a perfume garden.  The kiddos would love making these for Nana, an aunt, or other wonderful women in the family.

But what's a gift without a card?  I also whipped up this fun and fabulous card for Mom using a die cut butterfly, an arrow clip and more Mother SRM Stickers

Any mom will surely love this homemade gift!

Father's Day Gifting

Wednesday, May 7, 2014

I did not forget that it was Mother's Day this weekend! After all, I am a mom! :) :)

As I sat there making gifts for the special women in my life, my mind went blank as to what I can make for my dad for Father's Day. My crafty brain starting tingling and I came up with this gift bag idea. {Yes, my brain actually tingles when a get crafty idea pops into my head.}

Of course I found these fabulous shapes to use while browsing the internet. They go perfectly with this gift bag.

I used a fun "Hey Dude" card from Pink Paislee's "Hey Kid" Collection.

The "stash" is from the Funny Spectacle Mustache Set. I also used the Cool Brush Word Art cut file. Be sure to get a bag of lollipop sticks from Michael's Craft Store too. They are fun to use.

P.S. I also wanted to enter this into the Moxie Fab World - Hip on Handwriting challenge. - Fun stuff over there. Be sure to check it out.

I hope you all enjoyed my fun little "dad" project today!
