I'm finally starting to put my creative cap on a bit more and am trying to spend more time in my craft room. I have one of those multi-tasker type of personalities where I'm doing a million things at once....all the time....you should see my date planner...and my to do list...sigh...
So I'm going to start dedicating a day to myself to spend all day in my craft room ,or hanging out with a friend at Archivers, or finding some hideaway spot to create. And I'm not gonna feel guilty about it either. I work so hard all week...can a sistah get just one day to herself to craft...geesh...LOL
So I'm taking back some "Me Time" and doing what I love to do most.
Here's my first "Me Time" card that I made. I had sooo much fun making it too. {I think my sister is still trying to find out why I get so geeky excited about crafting all day...she just doesn't get it does she?} LOL
I'm playing along with the ladies at the Pixie Dust Paperie for their "Birdsong" challenge and over at Scrapbookers Anonymous for their Letter "C" contest. I used loads of (c)hipboard on this card.
How do you get your "Me Time" in during the week?
{P.S. - The pretty ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon and the kraft goodies are from The Kraft Outlet}
This is so pretty, Angi! I'm so glad you are getting some "me" time for yourself as well. That's so important - and yet so difficult!
I try to schedule some crafting time in at least once a week. As I'm self-employed, I have flexibility - although it's still a difficult task to ignore the gazillion other things on my list!
Great little card! And even greater that you are taking the time to do what you what to do. I try to set aside at least 1 day per week too but it usually ends up to be a half day for crafty stuff and the other half cleaning, but I will take what I can get! We need that!

I had to laugh when I read your comment about your sister trying to figure out why you get "geeky" about crafting. I hear ya, girl!

cute project and I so keep preaching to all "Wonder Women" that yes, they do need to carve out some "me" time at least once a week. We usually sync our calendars once a week & I just tell my family what day it is (it's usually always a Friday) and it goes on the calendar just like an appointment that THEY do NOT get to mess with. It actually works!
