Baskets Full of Yum

When I'm having a family gathering out in the backyard, I grab some fun paper and make my own picnic décor. GCD Studios Special Delivery collection is super fun and festive to use for such an occasion.

 

I used  the Lifestyle Crafts  berry container die to make the paper baskets. I also added a "family" paper clip and "family time" sentiment to a lollipop stick.

 

I do have one quick tip to share. It's best to line your little baskets with a coffee filter before placing your food in them. This will keep your basket bright and fresh throughout the day.

Can I get a Woot Woot!!!!!!

This company, by far, is one of my FAVES in the industry. I was so honored when Susan McShirley sent me the email inviting me to join the team. I did a little happy dance!!!!!

I received my DT box of goodies last week. Wowza....the team received such a generous amount of product. I jumped right in and made some new projects. Let me show you what I've made...

I just love the SRM Tubes. I called these my "Camera Tubes". They would be so much fun for an Instagram Themed Birthday Party. I used some die-cut cameras from Paper Issues for this one. I also added the Stickers by the Dozen - Birthday Birdie, the Stickers by the Dozen - Birthday, and the Express Yourself - Birthday stickers to this project. 

Now this little Birthday Birdie just makes me SMILE!!!

I'm still doing the HAPPY DANCE!

Did you know you can make a fun card using texture, dies, and acrylic? 

 

The combination of the three are my FAVE elements on a card.

 

  

I'm a texture kinda girl too. I had to add a bit of canvas to my card as well. The paper is from GCD Studios Pure Bliss collection. I also made my own handmade button using the Epiphany Crafts Round 25 Tool.

 

I used my handy dandy Lifestyle Crafts Dies & Evolution die cutter on the circle and square shapes. Elements of my card are made from acrylic from the Clear Scraps store. I had some extra pieces left from the 6" x 6" acrylic album. I used them to add reinforcement to the canvas piece.

 

I'm linking this creation up to three fun challenges. First, this one is perfect for the Let's Get Trendy Now 3 - "Textured Layered Challenge".

 

 

 

I'm also playing along in the Catered Crop - So Shapely Recipe Swap and the Scrap It Girl - Use Your Dies challenge.

I love a good gift card holder. This one was so fun to make. I cut and scored patterned paper then adhered the sides only. Make sure you leave enough room to slide a gift card inside the pocket.

 

I layered Pink Paislee paper goodies on top. I also stamped and embossed an image from the "Beautiful Rose" set.

We're kicking off today with the stamp set called "Fancy Flourishes".

 

 

I love sending happy mail, so I've made some fun envelopes and tags to go along with each package. The font on the sentiments are fabulous!

 

Instead of coloring the words, I stamped on colorful paper. It creates a clean and graphic look to the design. There are so many design possibilities with this one.

A Page of Sweet Memories

Fun fact: I'm so slow when I make mini albums. I only complete a couple of pages a day. I always try to do something fun with the pages. I'm working my brain way too much right? (smile)

I actually won this Amy Tangerine Day Book from Carina's blog during the American Crafts blog hop last month. I decided to decorate this page with a "dressed up" tag using the Sweet Memories stamp set.

I love adding texture to my projects. The felt heart was actually from a Valentine's Day placemat that I got from Michael's Craft Store. I carefully cut out one of the hearts and added it to the page.

Now I've gotta figure out what I want to do with the rest of the pages. This make take a while.....

Embellie Gifting

This idea popped in my head when I received some happy mail from the sweet Janice Coble. I loved the ribbon so much that I drove over to Michael's Craft Store to get more.

 

I'm giving these ribbon packs to my crafty friends. Before gift giving, it's always best to dress it up with a tag.

 

I made a mini tag by stamping one of the sentiments on top. I also added some Pink Paislee goodies.

Doily Party Favors with The Craft's Meow

 

 It's time for The Craft's Meow June Release Week!

 

The design team will be debuting FIVE new stamp sets. From today, until June 21st be sure to stop by my blog each day to see some super fun projects.

We're kicking off today with "Beautiful Rose". 

 

 

I love to gift and make party favors. I though it would be fun to make some unique party favors using doilies.

 

 

First, I rolled them into a cone shape. I then wrapped them in ric-rac ribbon. I topped them off with embossed stamped sentiments using the "Beautiful Rose" stamp.

 

 

I think these would look great for wedding or girly baby shower favors. What do you think?

Mix Match Mix Match

 

Today is all about mixing & matching!

 

I usually like to color coordinate everything, but it's the weekend! It's time to let go of the norm and have some fun with different patterns, colors, and designs.

 

My tag is actually made from acrylic. Be sure to get yours from the Clear Scraps store. I had some extra square pieces left from their 6" x 6" acrylic album and decided to make a tag.

 

And by the way, I'm entering this into the The Mixy-Matchy Style Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.   

 

 

My tag was so fun to put together. Before I get into the details, I wanted to share something....

 

 

 Once the acrylic tag was cut, I added patterned paper on top to cover the front.

 

I have soooo many 6 x 6 paper pads lying around. I used those to make and layer paper strips across the front. The key is to use paper with different patterns and designs on them.

 

I didn't want to overwhelm the design so I used a solid color heart and sentiment in the center of the tag.

 

Being a little mixy-matchy wasn't so bad. I had a lot of fun with this one.
