Vintage Charm!

I'm so loving the Vintage look.
It's one of my new faves.

Here are 2 new cards that mix Vintage with

On the first card {above} I added White Crochet Lace Trim to the top of my patterned paper. At the bottom I added a splash of Red Gingham Ribbon.

For this card I added a October Afternoon Vintage Card, a doily, and layered Red & White Satin Double Ruffle Ribbon.

Looking for some ribbon goodies?
Head on over to the RRR Shop.

{We are off to see the new Smurfs movie}
{I just love those little blue cuties}
Have a great weekend everyone!

A Charming Birdie

Tuesday, July 26, 2011

We've been trying to beat the heat here in Texas these past couple of months. Tried some outdoor fun {for a very short time} then couldn't stand it anymore. {LOL} The girls and I quickly found some indoor fun to do instead.

I've gotta give you a close-up look at my card.

I also love, love, love to upcycle - {The birdie is from an old notebook - I used my scallop punch on him.}

**I'm also linking up for the fun {stickers} challenge at Cas-ual Fridays. :)

Need to beat the heat?
Be sure to check out the fun Summertime
goodies in the Creative Charm online store.

See ya back later this week for more creative goodies!

Before I begin my day I wanted to share a card that I made with the fun sketch at Artful Delight.

I popped up some cute Stampin Up! stickers on this card and used my American Crafts paper stash. I just love these little owls.

And a {Big Thank You} to all who entered my "Gifting Challenge" over at Do More With Less. Congrats to Lynn and Erin. Both of your gift projects are absolutely fabulous. I will get your prize packs out to you guys next week.

Have a Happy Weekend!

Authentique

Wednesday, July 20, 2011

I sooo wish I could go to CHA. Maybe there is a "CHA Fairy" that will grant me my wish one day. :)

In the meantime, I received my Authentique paper in the mail yesterday and immediately wanted to play with it.

Isn't this paper gorgeous? The design includes my fave color "Yellow" too. It's very classic and beautiful. {must get more!} I made my card using the Authentique "Blissful" Collection.

Since I looove {Yellow} so much I just had to play along with the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger - Perty & Flirty. {I really wanna order this coat now} :)

Love the "Blissful" cardstock icons too. Here's a close-up shot of the dress form and the "you make me smile" sentiment. Of course I added a flower and some beautiful crochet lace trim from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I'm also playing with the talented ladies over at CR84FN.

Do you have a fave paper collection coming out? If so, please let me know. I'd love to check it out. {I'm such a paper fanatic!!!}

Card Supplies:
Cardstock (Bazzill); Patterned Paper (Authentique - Blissful Collection - Paradise Paper); Dress form tag, sentiment, and yellow/pink border (Authentique - Icons); Doily (Martha Stewart Crafts); Flower (Prima); Crochet Lace Trim (Really Reasonable Ribbon)

Mom Always Shines!

Tuesday, July 19, 2011

I'm popping to share some teasers of my ribbon tutorial that is featured at Really Reasonable Ribbon today.

I've been wanting to make more pages of my Wonderful Mommy! She's got the brightest smile in all the world and lights up any room that she enters.

Here's the journaling that I did on the page.

And instead of using patterned paper I used a mix of K & Co. borders and yummies from RRR's July's Ribbon Club Pack.

To see the full tutorial hop on over to the RRR blog.
See ya back here tomorrow for more crafty fun!

Really "Cool" Twine & Winners!

Friday, July 15, 2011

I'm back in action peeps!

I've had sooo many family and friends in town this week. We had loads of fun and now I must get back to crafting. {I also need to run a few miles each day...we ate out at every restaurant in town...LOL}

Today begins a fun challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon. I even added some fun BAKER'S TWINE to my pinwheel stem and to the bottom of my card.

The "Cool It" Challenge!

The summer months are sooo hot here in Texas, so I created a pinwheel card. I've seen so many kiddos blowing on these at our local park. They always come in such fun colors too.

In Texas, some stores even sell the battery operated pinwheel fans. They are great to use during those hot summer days. Just imagine...a battery operated pinwheel in one hand and an ice cold glass of Texas sweet tea in the other hand. Now that's Heaven! {smile}

I used RRR Baker's Twine in aqua and green apple
Order yours {here}

Also, the July Ribbon Club Assortment is here! Fun summer colors in this pack! You can win a fabby prize if you check out {this post} on the RRR blog.

And the winners of the Lucky Girl Crafts prize packs are:

Sew Happy Container

Friday, July 8, 2011

Look at what's new at Michaels!

You know how I love to alter containers. I scooped one right up and used some Really Reasonable Ribbon goodies to dress it up.

I decorated the front with sewing embellies. I'm going to fill it with small buttons & stick pins. It will be great decor on my craft table. {I plan on getting more of these!}

Check out the cute RRR Air Mail Twine on my spool.

And did ya see the cute yellow button?
RRR sells buttons too!

The one that I used is from the Graffiti Love Chipboard Set. I added some RRR Red Jute String to the button.

You just gotta dress up the container handles!

Hop on over to the RRR Store and scoop up some of these fun products. [Be sure to tell them that I sent ya over!] :)

I also wanted to send {BIG HUGS} to Jean, Audrey, and Tiffany for giving me blog awards recently. These ladies are the SWEETEST. (click on their names to visit their fabulous blogs).

Little Miss Owl

Wednesday, July 6, 2011

Since I'm off for the summer my blog posts seem to be going up later and later in the day. {LOL} I've been sleeping in entirely way too much.

Here's my latest card. I was inspired by the owls in this photo from the Polkadot Door Inspiration challenge and I made a shorter version of the fun sketch at Card Patterns.

I had way too much fun making this one. I used my new Bazzill paper called Grandma's Feather Bed, a cute envelope (that's really for my Smash book), brown ric rac, some fun twine and some pearls.

Here's a close-up of Lil' Miss Owl!
I made her with this ...

Stampin Up! 2-Step Owl Punch
(must use this more often)
And don't forget about my {Gifting Challenge} going on at Do More With Less. I'm giving away a fab prize pack from Creative Charms and Really Reasonable Ribbon to the winner. Enter {Here}.

Congrats Chica - Plus 1 More

Happy 4th of July Everyone!

I'm headed over to my parent's house to enjoy some
yummy TEXAS barbecue and sweet tea!

Sending a BIG SALUTE to my fellow Marines out there serving our country. All of the men and women of our Armed Forces Rock! God Bless America!

Here are 2 brand new cards. The first card is for Gallery Idol and the second one is for the City Crafters Challenge.

Card #1 - Congrats Chica
{for Gallery Idol}

Love the girly chipboard. She looks like she is celebrating doesn't she? And the Pink Paislee yellow glitter letters and Creative Charms crochet flower go so well with the paper.

Card #2 - My Chocolate Life
{for City Crafters}

I used the fun sketch at City Crafters for this one. I wanted a fun vintage feel to this card. Love that "chocolate" sentiment. It's actually a tag that I found at Michaels. I thought it would be fun to add to the front of a card. The crochet lace is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I hope you all enjoy your Fourth of July!
