Fantabulous Cricut Crawl Blog Hop

Monday, September 13, 2010

Welcome to Angi's blog at Cokie Pop Paper and the second "Fantabulous Cricut Crawl"...Fantabulous Cricut's version of a blog hop!

If you've come from visiting Brenda's blog at Brenda's Scrappy Blog you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, start HERE

In honor of Back To School time, we're calling our second Fantabulous Cricut Crawl "Button Up For School".
Each Design Team member will be featuing an original project featuring a button AND a Cricut cut somewhere on the project. Make sure to check out each DT member's blog for some awesome inspiration! There will be prizes along the way at our DT members' blogs, AND there will be a grand prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant that submits a project meeting the "Button Up For School" challenge criteria! How fun is that?

Here's my project. Every year I make new desk decor for my desk at school. As a Language Arts teacher I use colored pencils all of the time for a really innovative essay writing assignment that I use in class. Here's my new colored pencil holder that I made using the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge. I also added a button to go along with this week's challenge.
Here's a shot of the back of the pencil jar. I added more embellies to go along with the "color" theme.
I'm offering a prize to go along with the blog hop. Just comment below and tell me about your favorite school memory. The winner will receive this Xtra Large Martha Stewart Punch Set. It's perfect for Halloween projects. You will be entered Twice if you link a project up to the FCCB blog. Please tell me that you did in a seperate comment. You will be entered 3 times if you choose to follow my blog. The winner will be randomly picked next Wednesday. Good Luck!

Now it's your turn! See if you can incorporate a button on your own "Button Up For School" project. Make sure to include a Cricut cut somewhere on your project!

I'm the last stop on the hop. When you're done hopping, make sure to link up your project to FCCB's Fantabulous Cricut Crawl post to be entered into the contest!

Happy Crawling!
Angi

Favorite memory is when I was in the 5th grade and we had a field trip to Disneyland. I got to run around Disneyland with my best friend for about 4 hours without adult supervision. Back then you had a field trip buddy and as long as you stayed together and checked in on time you were following the rules.

That is a cute idea for a pencil holder. My favorite school memory was in elementary school playing on the playground and waving to my mom. Our house was literally right next to the school, so at recess my mom would go out on the porch and wait for my class to come out so we could wave at each other.

My fav. memory from school is when I was in 6th grade and they took 12 students to go in a trip to USA (I live in Costa Rica). So for us to go just with our teachers and live with a US family for almost 3 weeks was an unforgetable memory...and of course just the begining of a bunch of school memories.
