I Love Popcorn! Yes, I Do!

Monday, September 30, 2013

love to give gourmet popcorn for Christmas. I wanted to take my gifting up a notch this year by creating mini popcorn buckets and SRM Popcorn Tubes.  I hope it's a hit this year!

{These would be fun to use as stocking stuffers from Santa too!}

I used  the Lifestyle Crafts popcorn box die and Heidi Swapp's "Believe" Christmas paper.

I just love the Christmas Tree from SRM's We've Got Your Sticker Plus set.  It's so fun and festive for Christmas projects.  And the trees from SRM's Stickers by the Dozen Christmas match them and are a perfect size for the mini and tiny Tubes.

I wrapped the tops of the tubes with We've Got Your Border Christmas stickers. The colors are so merry and bright!

You can easily fill your food safe tubes with popped popcorn or just the kernels. They will be a hit any way you do it.

A Fun Way to Use a Project Life Card

Thursday, September 26, 2013

Do you have extra project life cards lying around?

Well, here's a fun way to use them.

A friend of mine needed a gift to welcome someone new to the office. I whipped this up for her using goodies from Epiphany Crafts and SRM Stickers

I dressed up an SRM clear box and added a Project Life card to the front of it. The "HELLO" greeting is just perfect for a welcome gift. I also used SRM's sticker stitches.

And check out the crochet flower. I added a homemade button using the Epiphany Crafts Round 25 Button Studio Tool and Round 25 Clear Button Cap. It's just the perfect size to add to the center of a flower.

You can easily add chocolate or other small treats to the container. I really love the flower because I was able to custom make my own button with the Epiphany Crafts tool. Adding a splash of yellow really helps brighten up the project.

Lollipop Sticks

Monday, September 23, 2013

There's just something about lollipop sticks...

I grab a pack quite often while shopping at Michael's Craft Store. They can be used for kids crafts, as cupcake holders, for candy making, or for just about anything crafty.

They are a great added addition to cards and layouts too!

Here's a fun card creation of mine. First, I wrapped the stick in baker's twine. I then used craft glue to adhere it to the front of my card. Here's a close-up shot.

This is a fun CAS design using a polka-dotted Project Life card. I also used adhesive dots on the back of the American Crafts Soho Garden sentiment. This design looks best when it's "popped" up a little.

I just love using these little sticks so much. My thinking cap is on and I'm already coming up with a fun way to use these on a layout. Stay tuned...

This is My Mini Me!

Thursday, September 19, 2013

It happens while we are shopping at Target!

It happens when we are getting goodies from Starbucks!

It happens just about everywhere!

People literally stop and say that Rachel is my "Mini-Me".

I just had to make a page about this because it happens so often. Our baby pictures even look almost identical. I guess everyone has a twin somewhere out in the world....right?

This fun page was created with mostly My Mind's Eye papers and Echo Park chipboard.

See the fun feathers? They are from American Crafts. The feather in the middle was created with WPlus 9's fanciful feather die. I got to use it last weekend at Vera's house.

See the round pink button? I made that one using the Epiphany Crafts round 25 tool.

I threw on "splashes" of sequins and used Simple Stories stickers for the title.

I'm playing along in the 1-2-3 Get Scrappy Challenge. I used three in elements from the middle row (circles, rhinestones, and a die cut).

I hope you enjoyed my fun page today!

She Has Grown Up So Fast

Monday, September 16, 2013

I still can't believe that Rachel is a senior in high school this year. I will always remember the wonderful day that she was born. It was actually on Super Bowl Sunday. I went into labor during the National Anthem. She arrived in the world by the first quarter. And she was a whopping 9 pounds. Labor and delivery were very eventful for sure!!!

I used the fun sketch at Let's Get Sketchy. Ashley designed this sketch. I loved playing along with this one.

I'm also playing along in the My Mind's Eye September challenge. They are one of my fave manufacturers.

Here's a close-up of the title. I cut it using the Silhouette while at Vera's house this weekend. We had a fun scrappy day. :)

Have a Happy Monday!!!

Happy is the Word of the Day!

Wednesday, September 11, 2013

Happy is one of my favorite words! That's why I made this fun gift bag & card set. I'm saving it for someone that may need a little "happy" in their life.

Of course I added some brightly colored SRM stickers to this project. The stickers go so well with the colorful chipboard & paper.

This set could be used for multiple occasions. Think encouragement, friendship, or "just because" occasions.

I kept a clean and simple design so that the stickers stand out. I really enjoyed adding SRM's stickers stitches to the top of my card.

And check out the bottom of my card.

I love the "hello sunshine" sentiment from the We've Got Your Border - Bright set.

Did you know that SRM sells glassine bags? Be sure to get yours from the shop. They are perfect for gifting.

We've Got Your Border - Pastel  #57009

His Plush Buddies

Monday, September 9, 2013

Happy Monday ya'll!

I worked on more pages this weekend for Tristan's scrapbook. This one features the little guy with his "plush buddies". He loves his stuffed animals.

He was not real happy in this photo though. It was his first photo shoot and he was not in a good mood. He kept flinching every time he heard the camera click. Poor thing! He pays close attention to sounds and movement. I hope he gets used to having his picture taken. I'm trying to get more pages done! (smile)

I layered loads of Basic Grey paper and embellies on this one. And check out that "Big Guy" brad. It's from GCD Studios.

I used Delightful Inspiration's fun sketch. I saw it on Julie and Debbie's blog and just had to play along. Single photo sketches are my fave.

I hope you have a happy week!

Pretty Up Your School Year!

Wednesday, September 4, 2013

I've got a fun Epiphany Crafts project for ya today!

The school year has started and I have my classroom decorated with happy décor for my students. I also like to organize my desk in fun ways too. One way that I do that is to dress up my files. I need files for lesson plans, for grading, to organize essays, etc.

I dressed up a Heidi Swapp memory file. This project is not just for teachers. They are also great for your kiddos too. It's a great way to keep them organized.

I also made my own handmade buttons using Epiphany Crafts Round 25 and Shape Studio Flower 25 Tools.

I also used a variety of school themed SRM Stickers including "Express Yourself - School" and "Say it With Stickers - Teacher".

I also added a handmade button & SRM Sticker to a clothespin. This would also make a great gift for your child's teacher.

I'm entering this one into the Curtain Call - Back to School Challenge.

I hope your kiddos have a great school year!

Supplies Used:
Epiphany Crafts Button Round 25 Tool & Bubble Caps
Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Flower 25 tool & Bubble Caps
Memory File: Heidi Swapp
Stickers and Pencil: SRM Stickers
Crepe Paper Trim: Glitz
Clothespin & Crochet Twine: JoAnn's

Enjoy Your New Dress

Monday, September 2, 2013

I've got a fun page for Rebekah's scrapbook today. She's my oldest and just celebrated her 22nd birthday! I posted this photo on my Instagram, but hadn't added it to a page yet. I was waiting to find just the right paper and embellies first.

I used Paper Bakery 's sketch #11. This is one of Juliana's fun sketches. I really love the circle elements.

Forever 21 is Rebekah's fave store. The photo is of her modeling her new dress. I even typed out some journaling on this one.

The fun background paper is from Basic Grey. The rest of the products are from Heidi Swapp. I even cut one of the Vintage Chic Memory Files in half and added it to the page.

The large bloom is from Martha Stewart Crafts.

I am also playing along in the Red Carpet Studio - Anything Else challenge.

And The Shabby Tea Room #182. I was inspired by their photo!

I hope you all enjoy your Labor Day weekend!
