The Target Dollar Bin!

Monday, July 30, 2012

Target is my second home!

I'm always in there...and the first place I stalk is the dollar bin! It's right in front of the store and holds lots of goodies that you can alter.

I found this mini pink felt bin the other day. I altered it to give to one of my crafty friends. She loves to stamp, so I got her some Stampin' Up ink. I think the gift looks much better in this bin instead of a box...right?

I decorated the front with a fun embellie that I made from canvas and some Simple Stories goodies.

I also made an extra tag that I will attach to a gift bag for another friend.

I have another Target dollar bin treasure that I will share with you soon!
Stay tuned!!!

Our Moxie Roxie

Wednesday, July 25, 2012

Today is Wonderful Wednesday with Samantha Walker Designs!

Here's a fun digital page that I made of my sister's doggy. Nicole (a.k.a. - Cokie) has the most adorable cocker spaniel named Roxie. She is a bundle of energy.

The journaling lists all of the fun things that Roxie is known for.

Here's what it says:
Jumping on us with a happy grin
Eating our food when we are not looking
Staring out of the window until we get home
Cuddling next to us on the couch
Playing with your chew toys for hours
Happy ears flopping in the wind
Chasing birdies as they fly by

For my page I used the Blueprint #12 template by Gennifer Bursett. You can find it {here} at Design House Digital. I think that the hexagon shapes mix well with Samantha's Pink Blossom Digital Paper Collection.

Samantha also has a brand new Blossom Mega Element Collection.
They coordinate well with all of her Blossom kits.
{the elements come in regular & embossed versions}

Be sure to check out Samantha's blog for today's sale & more new product info. You can find all of her fun kits in the Jessica Sprague store.

And Oh... I really want to share that I have a project featured on the Nikki Sivils Blog today. Woo Hoo! Be sure to check it out {HERE}

Hope you all have a Happy Wednesday!

Hexagons - CAS Style

Saturday, July 21, 2012

I've been wanting to do something fun with Hexagons for a while now!

Here's a CAS style card that I just made using this fun shape. I'm linking this up to the Moxie Fab World's Hooked on Hexagons Challenge and the City Crafter Challenge.

I cut these hexagons out and arranged them to be part of the focal point of the card. I then punched a butterfly and added a simple sentiment.

I wonder what shape will be all the rage next?

Hmmm...maybe triangles or octagons?
{what do you think?}

 P.S. - Big Announcement on Monday! :)

Card Supplies:
Patterned Paper: MME - Follow Your Heart
Butterfly Punch - Stampin' Up
Relax Card - Pretty Little Studio

Hiya...Hola...Hello Friend

Friday, July 20, 2012

Happy Weekend everyone!

I discovered a paper manufacturer and am now in love with their products. Have you guys heard of Simple Stories? You guys probably already know about them. I'm sooo late in my discovery. LOL

At any rate, I ordered their entire collection called "Fabulous" . I made this fun friendship card with it. I have so much left over that I plan on making a mini book, an altered project, and some pages with it too.

It's one adorable collection right?

I've got a fun hexagon creation tomorrow. See ya then!

Dreaming in Red & Yellow

Wednesday, July 18, 2012

Yellow, Red, and Neutral are the colors for today!

I love this color combo & am joining in on the fun over at CR84FN!

The sentiment is actually a wooden embellishment piece from My Mind's Eye - Indie Chic Collection. I used a fun Lifestyle Crafts "Label It" Die as well.

Also, if you like making cards please go and read this post:

Little Matthew wants to give cards to Shriner's Hospital. Please make some and help him out. It's a great way to get your kiddos involved in a great cause as well.

And stay tuned - I've got a new creation for ya tomorrow and HAPPY NEWS to share on my blog early next week!

Flutter on by Little Butterfly

Monday, July 16, 2012

I'm starting off the week with Butterflies and SRM Stickers!

My weekend was busy, busy, busy. I won tickets to the Big Time Rush concert. Rachel got a kick out of hearing mommy win on the radio. I'll have pics and a project featuring this group real soon!

After all of the boy band excitement, it was nice to hop back into my craft room and make this gift tag and card set.

I used these fab products for this one:

Stay tuned for more fun this week...

Summer Lanterns

Friday, July 13, 2012

I've got something fun today!

This one is fun for outdoor summer parties. In fact, I just made these paper lanterns to use as table decor for my family's pool party last weekend. Of course I dressed them up in yummy baker's twine from The Twinery!

The lanterns are made using my Lifestyle Crafts Lantern Die! The flowers are made using the Scallop Doilies Die.

You can order the Lantern Die {HERE} and save 20% Off using Promo Code - COKIE

These dies work in the Big Shot, Epic 6, Cuttlebug, and all leading die cutters.

The Twinery Twine is the fabulous "Lilac" color! You can find it in the Shop - {HERE}

I've got one other tip to share - If you sit these out on a windy day, it is best to place small candle holders on the inside to weight them down. And be sure to use some brightly colored Twinery Twine to add more sunshine to your outdoor event.

Have a Happy Weekend!

Cupcake Saturday!

Saturday, July 7, 2012

Hello everyone! I'm back with a fun and quick post today. I'm still on the mend. I have an ear infection in both ears and am still not feeling 100% yet.

My parents are having a pool party today at their house. I made some cupcakes for the kiddos. Don'tcha just love the Dr. Seuss books? I hope my cupcake toppers make them smile.

No swimming for me today, but at least I'll have something sweet to eat! :)

Have a Happy Weekend!

Road Trip and It Kits

Wednesday, July 4, 2012

Happy 4th of July everyone!

I've got a fun project for ya today! Summer is the perfect time for a Road Trip, so I've made a fun gift set that you can give to the kiddos when you set out on the open road.

I made this project using the fun new "It Kits" dies from Lifestyle Crafts. I also used the adorable Nikki Sivils - "Exit Here" paper collection.

This one is called the "Label It" Kit. It's full of fun shaped dies that you can used for altered projects, card making, and scrapbook layouts.

Don't forget to decorate a water bottle to go along with this set too.

You can fill the bag with crayons, a coloring book, a granola bar, chewing gum, or whatever makes your kiddos happy out on the road.

Remember - you can always save 20% Off on the Label It Dies using

PROMO CODE - "COKIE" at http://lifestylecrafts.com.

These dies work in the Big Shot, Epic 6, Cuttlebug, and all leading die cutters.

Happy You!

Monday, July 2, 2012

Happy Monday everyone! We had several thunderstorms roll through our area this weekend, so I couldn't get any good natural light to take pictures of my new crafty projects.

All is not lost....I whipped up a fun digital page to rescue my empty blog post for today!

And check out the photo that I used. {I'm "forcing" Rachel to be my model all summer long as I learn the ins and outs of digital design in the Photoshop class that I'm taking}. I actually learned how to change a color photo into a black and white photo using P.S.

Here's the black & white photo that I used on the digi page ...

And here's Rachel in living color ...

Can you tell that I'm having loads of fun with my Photoshop class? (wink...wink)

The digital elements are from the "You & Me" Mini Kit by Jessica Sprague

I'm headed out to take some photos of my new crafty projects while the skies are clear!

Have a Happy Monday!
