You've Got Mail

Wednesday, November 30, 2011

It's time for a fun Lessology Challenge!

This time you are to make an altered project that
centers around the theme - "Mail".
{make sure you add a recycled/upcycled item}

I dressed up some Maya Road Kraft envelopes with some yummy MME paper & embellies. My recycled item is some stretched canvas that I had lying around. I used an old tag as a template to cut the canvas into a fun shape.

Here's the second envelope that I made.

I used non-traditional Christmas colors on this one.

Now it's  your turn to make something fun related to "Mail". We have a fabulous prize from the Pixie Dust Paperie. You have until December 11th to join in on all of the fun!

It's Tray Time!

Monday, November 28, 2011

Hi all! I'm back after taking a week off to enjoy Thanksgiving with my family & friends. {I ate way too much food...LOL}

I have a fun project for ya today! I've made my first eva altered tray! I've been wanting to make one of these for a long time. I finally got my chance last week.

This one is a baby shower gift. I used some yummy My Mind's Eye & Creative Charms goodies. I left the top tray clean & simple so that the parents to be can add a 4 x 6 photo of their precious baby. :)

Also, a new challenge started at LESSology today. It's the "You've Got Mail" challenge. This time we want ya to make an altered project having to do with "mail". Here are some DT sneaks for you to enjoy. To enter click {HERE}

And...I'm sooo excited that my projects are featured on the Nikki Sivils - "Showcase on You" post! Go check it out {HERE}

Hybrid Design Day - "Hello"

Wednesday, November 16, 2011

Hello everyone!
I'm still waiting patiently for my repaired camera...{sigh}

In the meantime please enjoy "Hybrid Design Day".

This fun Jen Martakis digital paper is from the "Just Smile" collection. Her designs are so fun to use. I spruced up a plain kraft notebook to give it more pizzazz. {I even wrapped the small little pen with the digital paper}.

Be sure to check out Jen's digital kits over at Two Peas!

Teachers Rock!

Wednesday, November 9, 2011

Before I get into the project details I wanted to send BIG hugs to my teacher buddies - Lisa & Denise for letting me borrow their cameras this week. You ladies Rock!!!

My brand new Nikon camera is not working...sigh...so I'm having to ship it out for repair. Technology just does not like me lately :-(

Now on to my project...I have many crafty enablers. One of them is the wonderful Julie Tucker-Wolek. She always has some adorable projects made with Nikki Sivils' products.

After seeing the "School is Cool" kit I knew I had to get it and make something fun! So here's my very first Nikki Sivils project!

Thanks for the inspiration Julie.

Having Fun With Kraft!

Friday, November 4, 2011

I have really enjoyed my time Guest Designing for The Kraft Journal. Here's one more project that I wanted to share!

This time I made a card and tag set using kraft cardstock and tags from The Kraft Outlet.

I used a Martha Stewart border punch to add some decorative flair to my card. I also added texture by using twill ribbon, a metal heart, and paper roses.

I added even more texture to the tag by using alpha letters made of fabric. They come in a fun green color and are made by American Crafts. They are a part of the Amy Tangerine line of products.

Be sure to check back on my blog for a
Wonderful Announcement!

Also, I hope you all play with us at LESSology for Challenge #5: Jars of Cuteness challenge. Hop on over to the LESSology blog for inspiration.

Ornaments in a Jar!

Wednesday, November 2, 2011

Look at that sweet little face!

This is my fave part of the altered jar that I made for Lessology's Jars of Cuteness challenge.

This project was so fun to make. Here are the details...Instead of throwing away my Ragu spaghetti sauce jar I decided to recycle, clean it, and alter it up for Christmas.

I purchased all of my supplies from Michael's craft store. The snowman is actually a Christmas tree ornament. Here's a side view of my jar. I covered the Ragu label with glitter cardstock to add some shine.

On the inside of the jar I added sparkly styrofoam balls and a larger pink ornament. I also added pink curly ribbon. I'm going to make more of these for gift giving season.

LESSology is sponsored by The Paper Bakery.
They make the most beautiful kits!

I can't wait to visit your blogs to see what you come up with for this fun challenge! You have 2 weeks to link up! The challenge ends Sunday, November 13th!

P.S. I'm linking this up over at Paper Issues for their
Snow Day theme! And over at She's a Sassy Lady's Ornament challenge!
